Susan G. Pennock, 67, of L'Anse, went to be with the Lord, Friday evening, October 7, 2011, following a lengthy illness and with her family by her side. She was born March 26, 1944, in Dearborn, Michigan, a daughter of Gail D. and Bessie (Collins) Pennock. She attended and graduated from L'Anse High School in 1962. Sue worked as a florist for many years, owning and managing the Nature's Nook in L'Anse and later doing the same work in Arizona. She was a member of L'Anse Baptist Church. Sue will be remembered as a talented artist, devoted mother and grandmother who was loved by all who knew her. Sue is survived by her mother, Bessie Pennock of Arizona; daughters, Tammie (Scott) Lloyd of L'Anse and Kimberly (Dominic) Currieri of Green Valley, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Tyler (Libby) Lloyd, Travis Lloyd, Hollie (Aaron) Loosemore, Courtney Lloyd, DJ Currieri and Christina Currieri; great-grandchild, Mason Lloyd; siblings, Pamela (Robert) Kraft of L'Anse, Jerry D. (Joann) Pennock of L'Anse, Cindy (Ken) Harden of Monroe, MI, Steve (Carol) Pennock of Arizona, Tracy (Cathy) Pennock of Arizona and Jenny (Dan) Soper of Gaylord, MI. She was preceded in death by her father, Gail Pennock in 1984. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the L'Anse Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Bishop officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior the service in the church. Interment will take place in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery.
