Susan Jane Ewing (Nee Marquis ) Beloved wife of John. Dear mother of Rev. Deborah Gorman (Paul) and Susan Barber. Loving grandmother of Rachael Yaden, Paul Gorman III, Tyler Barber, Todd Barber, Christopher Barber. Great grandmother of Connor, Grayson, Mason, Bryson, Shelby and Lincoln.
Susan was born August 8, 1922 in Lakewood, OH to Karl and Lucille Marquis. She was a resident of Lakewood for most of her life. She graduated from Lakewood High School and attended Connecticut College for Women. She married John Ewing on November 21, 1942 at her parent's home in Lakewood.
She and John resided in the Clifton Park neighborhood of Lakewood for over 51 years. She was a fifty plus year member of Lakewood United Methodist Church. She was a longtime member of the Clifton Club, the Study Club of Lakewood, and the Junior League of Cleveland. She was very proud of her many years of volunteer work at the Lakewood Hospital where she worked in the snack and gift shops and circled the hosptial many times with the magazine cart.
She passed away Saturday June 25, 2011 at the Weslyan Village in Elyria, OH.

Memorial Service at Lakewood United Methodist Church Saturday July 2 at 11:00am. Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 21369 Center Ridge Road, Fairview Park, from 7-9pm Friday.
