Born 1921 in New York, died Thursday, Feb 17, 2011. Predeceased by husband Richard Livingstone Murray in 2000 after 53 years of marriage. Early years spent in Laguna Beach, California and Westfield, New Jersey. Resided Ridgewood, New Jersey and Homewood, Illinois and in Dallas since 1978. An accomplished artist, she was active in the arts community wherever she lived. In Dallas, she was a member of Pat Kochan's Art Class, the Needlepoint Guild at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, The Kleper Art Club and North Dallas Women's Club. Survived by daughter Lynne and husband Norman Lofgren of Richardson, son, Richard L. Murray, Jr. and wife Margaret of Centennial, Colorado, and daughter Barbara Murray and husband John Gilmore of Dallas. 6 Grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 26 at 3:00 p.m., at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 11122 Midway Road, Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Episcopal Church of The Good Shepherd. The family would especially like to thank Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care during her last days, and the Signature Pointe On The Lake second floor staff for their supportive and loving care.
