Sybil Hendricks Irving, 79, of 312 Greenbriar Drive, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Pickens on January 17, 1932, she was the 5th of 6 children of the late Ivy and Pearle Childs Hendricks.

Mrs. Irving attended Town Creek Grammar School and graduated from Pickens High School in 1949. She was Nurse having worked primarily in Florida and California. The last 13 years of her 40 year career was at Holmesview Center in Greenville, a recovery center sponsored by the State of South Carolina. She was a longtime member of Shepherds Chapel, a Bible teaching ministry.

Surviving is a son, David Michael Seaborn of Six Mile; and a sister, Elizabeth Hayes of Pickens.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth W. Irving; two brothers, Ivy and Lyndon Hendricks; and two sisters, Emily Edgington and Doris Aiken.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home.

The family will be at their respective homes.
