Sylvia E Kirven peacefully passed away early July 28, 2010 at the age of 87. Sylvia was born in 1923 in the Bronx NY. She was raised in the Bronx NY and Jamaica WI with her younger sister Evelyn Thomas whom she leaves behind. In 1945 she married Kenneth K Kirven (deceased 1997) and together they called Morristown home for 61 years. Collectively they consciously raised a daughter Donna L Kirven of Medford MA (a graduate Morristown High School 1969). Sylvia worked for Bell Labs NJ as a payroll manager for over 35 years until retirement. Sylvia was an outspoken, intelligent, conscientious woman who was a true master of current affairs and politics as well as a consistent follower and supporter of social justice. Until her passing she remained a fabulous chef and true food aficionado. Above all Sylvia placed a high priority on developing a personal close relationship with each of her 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 4 grand nieces and nephews as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She went out of her way to get to know, support and love her family and for each of them her presence will truly be missed.
