Sylvia Crenshaw

Pickens – Sylvia L. Crenshaw, 78, wife of James Lee Crenshaw, passed from this life Monday, October 17, 2011 at Heritage Health Care at Six Mile.

Mrs. Crenshaw was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Seth and Bessie Simmons Byers. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church in Pickens.

Survivors include her husband James Lee Crenshaw, three sons Bruce Crenshaw (Charlene) of Liberty, Donald Crenshaw (Susan) of Pickens, and Lawrence Crenshaw (Ladell) also of Pickens and two daughters Brenda Crowe (Glenn) of Pickens and Maydell Keasler (Billy) of Pickens, ten grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Ramona Morrison, and three brothers Major (Tony) Byers, David Byers, and Daniel Byers.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crenshaw was preceded in death by a granddaughter Gwen Crowe and great granddaughter Lily Gwen Powell.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 PM Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 PM Wednesday at Dillard Funeral Home.
