Teresa Diane VanDyke Kennedy, age 57 of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at her home. Born February 1, 1954 in Richlands, Virginia she was the daughter of Ola Gay VanDyke of Cedar Bluff, Virginia and the late Earl VanDyke.She enjoyed bowling, golfing, NASCAR, hunting and fishing.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brother, Randy VanDyke and her sister, Shelia VanDyke.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jerry Kennedy; one niece, Ashlei VanDyke Mathews and husband Kyle of Roanoke, VA; one nephew, Ryan VanDyke of Roanoke, VA; three very special nieces and nephews, Savannah Smeltzer, Tyler Mathews and Alexis Grace Mathews; all of her bowling buddies with the Thursday Morning Coffee League; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Rev. Stafford Compton and Rev. Chester Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Ball, Scott White, Michael White, Gary Horn, Hermas Ball and Max Kennedy.
