Hinsdale- Teresa P. Waterman, 74, of Hinsdale Heights died unexpectedly on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital with her family at her side. Teresa was born in Hinsdale on February 4, 1937 the daughter of Steve and Mary (Salinski) Boroski. She was raised and educated in Hinsdale graduating from Hinsdale High School with the Class of 1955. She had been employed at United Foods of Chesterfield retiring in August following 25 faithful years with the company. Previously she had worked at Bridgeport Metal Goods in Hinsdale and at the former American Optical Company in Brattleboro. For many years, with her sister Charlotte LaShier, she served as caretaker for Saint Joseph's Catholic Church and rectory. The two sisters worked unselfishly and diligently in the upkeep of both the church and grounds. Of her leisure time activities she loved the outdoors, feeding her animals (as well as all the neighbor's dogs), flowers, and day trips to the Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut. She also enjoyed time shared with her family and many friends. A devout Catholic she was a lifelong communicant of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. On October 22, 1960 at Saint Joseph's Church she was married to Stanley H. Waterman who predeceased her on August 17, 1973. Survivors include one son, Stanley Waterman, Jr. of Hinsdale, two sisters, Charlotte LaShier currently a resident at Applewood Healthcare in Winchester, and Helen Slate of Brattleboro, two brothers, Paul Boroski of Claremont, N.H. and Chester Boroski of Richfield, N.C. Additionally she leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Frances Merton, Viola Drane and Dorothy Bokum, and three brothers, Francis Boroski, Stanley Boroski and Edward Boroski. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Joseph's Church in Hinsdale. Committal Rites and burial will follow in Saint Joseph's Parish Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the Atamaniuk Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Memorial contributions in Teresa's name may be made to Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, in care of the Parish Offices, 161 Main Street, Suite 204, Keene, N.H. 03431, or to, Rescue Inc. P.O. Box 593, Brattleboro, VT 05302.
