Terry Ann Colgan, age 54, a lifelong resident and friend of Arden, DE peacefully passed away at her home on March 29, 2010. She joins her parents Joan Ware Colgan and Thomas E. Colgan in heaven.
Terry was born on September 8, 1955 and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and Neumann University. She traveled the world during her long career as a writer and account executive. Terry will forever be remembered by her family and friends for her helping and caring nature and positive demeanor. She enjoyed reading and writing literature and poetry, gardening, spending time with her beloved family, and volunteering at the Arden Craft Museum, where she was known for her great knowledge and stories of the unique and historic town.
Terry is survived by two sisters, Debora Colgan and Penny Colgan-Davis; two brothers, Tim and Tony Colgan; two sons, Timothy Patrick Hufford & his wife Vanessa, their children: Timothy Andrew, Brenna, Fiona, and Nicole. Gabriel James Hufford & his wife Toni Angela, their children: Seamus, Juliano, Matthew, Kirsten and Angela. Terry is also survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins and countless good friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 1pm at the Arden Gild Hall, 2126 The Highway, Arden, DE 19810, where friends and family are invited to celebrate Terry’s life.
In lieu of flowers, Terry wished contributions to be made to, and her friends to visit The Arden Craft Museum, 1807 Millers Road, Arden, DE 19810.
