Terry Wayne Wilkins, 57, of California City, CA, passed away April 24, 2011, after a long battle with his illness. He was born July 12, 1953, in Bakersfield, CA, to proud parents J.W. and Vedie (Milliken) Wilkins. He lived his entire life in Kern County and loved watching baseball.

He is survived by his wife, Shawn Marie Gubser Wilkins, and their children, Kenneth, Justin and Alaina Wilkins, and step-son Eric Gubser; his first wife, Joanne Gulliory, and their 3 children together, Steven, Terry Wayne II, and Cheryl Wilkins; Terry’s mother, Vedie Lee Milliken Wilkins; his brother, Larry; his 5 sisters, Vickie Burns, Cheryl Richardson, Helen Daigneault, Theresa, and Mary Richardson; grandchildren, Kyle, Carly, Joseph, Angelique and Breanna Wilkins, Alex Zarbeoza, and Alexis and Kylee Anderson; and many nieces and nephews who enjoyed his humor. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra, and his father, J.W. Wilkins.

Funeral services were held April 30, 2011, at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church, California City, with many friends and family members sharing memories and celebrating Terry’s life. Arrangements by Stickel Mortuary, Mojave, 661-824-2328.
