Tevita Lui Kaufusi
Tevita Lui Kaufusi passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011 as a result of an auto accident. Lui was born March 2, 1992 in Kahuku Oahu, to Losiane F Langi and Viliami P. Kaufusi.
Lui grew up in Laie,Hawaii, and Austin Texas until his family moved to Payson, Utah where attended Payson High School and graduated in 2010. Lui loved sports. Particularly basketball, football, volleyball, and rugby. He loved going to mission prep class at Utah Valley University. He was always preparing for his mission. He loved to hang out with his nieces and nephews. He was a good friend and loved to hang out with his friends especially his really good friends that he called "toko" meaning (brother) Daniel Zamora, Marcos Mejia, Kolapa Wolfgramm and Benson Strebel. Anyone who knew him knew he had a big heart, a contagious smile, big warm hugs and he would loved to talk and tease those he loved the most.
Lui was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had a mission call to the Fiji Suva mission and would have entered the MTC on March 14, 2012.
Lui is survived by: his parents Losiane and Viliami Kaufusi; 4 sibilings Viliami Pa'asa Kaufusi Jr, Elder Kali Loto'aika Tapaevalu Kaufusi serving in Tonga, Kingi Mosaia Langi Kaufusi, and his only sister Ilaisaane Talavao Kaufusi. He had many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11a.m. at the Payson 10th Ward 500 S. 800 W. Payson, there will be a viewing from 6 a.m til 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Payson City Cemetery.
