Theodora Aileen Nelson (nee Sandstedt), so dear to her family and friends, joined her beloved husband, Leslie, and precious daughter, Barbara, in eternal life on April 28. Born in Portland Oregon on June 16, 1912, to Dr. Herman and Ellen Sandstedt, she was raised in Chicago where she lived her whole life. Married in 1936 to Leslie Ragnar Nelson, her partner, help-mate, soul-mate and life-long love. Devoted mother of Barbara Ann Segerstrom (John) and Christina Aileen Porterfield (Tony). Loving grandmother of Suzanne Segerstom Giffin (Jai), Eric Segerstrom (Suzette), Tyler Porterfield (Sarah) and Elizabeth Porterfield Alberhasky (JJ); and darling "Gigi" to Lucy Segerstrom, Atticus Alberhasky and Jake Porterfield. A true lady and devoted Christian, beautiful both inside and out, she will be remembered and missed by anyone who had the joy of knowing her.
