Obituary "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing". II Timothy 4:6-8 Today we pause to pay tribute and join together in the Homegoing Celebration of Mr. Theodore Tyrone Jeffery. Our hearts are deeply saddened by the passing of our loved one, but we know that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord. We must not grieve at our lost, but thank God for the time that we shared with him. Theodore Tyrone Jeffery was born on November 9, 1956, in Hartsville, South Carolina a son of the late Jennings and Thelma Isaac Jeffery, Sr. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 12, 2011. Theodore was educated in the public schools of Darlington County, South Carolina. He later graduated with the Butler High School Class of 1976. During his time in school, he was very athletic. Theodore received many trophies for his athletic abilities. Theodore enlisted in the United States Army in 1978, where he served his country honorably for fourteen years. Theodore received many commendations and awards while serving his country. He attained the rank of Sergeant. Those who knew and loved him will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by both parents; three sisters, May Battle, Ruth Waters, and Barbara Nesbitt; and three brothers, Willie Jeffery, Gene Jeffery, and Jennings Jeffery, Jr. Surviving to cherish the memory and maintain the legacy of Theodore Tyrone Jeffery is his three sons, Kelvin (Taneisha) Pendergrass and Tyrone Pendergrass both of Hartsville, SC, and Theodore (Renodda) Jeffery, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Sheena Jeffery of Charlotte, NC; two step children, NaTysha Jeffery of Florence, SC and Marquise Pendergrass of Hartsville, SC; a god son, Enrico Pendergrass of Hartsville, SC; three sisters, Thelma L. Abson and Wanda Bracey both of Hartsville, SC and Fran (Sylvester) Knox of Columbia, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and very dear friends.
