Theola I. Atkins, age 93, of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 10:24 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2011, at the Sanctuary at Holy Cross, in Mishawaka, Indiana. Theola was born on June 10, 1918, in Detroit, Michigan, to Orlando and Marion (MacDonald) Bryce. On August 17, 1940, Theola married Robert "Bob" Atkins in Detroit, Michigan. Bob passed away on September 13, 2001, after 61 years of marriage. Theola had been a member of the Plymouth Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1952. She was a homemaker, mother of three children, and worked at J.C. Penney, Company, in Plymouth. Theola is survived by her daughter, Lynette (Larry) Rusk of South Bend; her sons, Don (Rhonda) Atkins of Bradenton, Florida and Tom (Linda) Atkins of Plymouth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her grandson, David Atkins (1999); her brother, Neil John Bryce (1924); and her great-grandson, Braden Rusk (2006).
