     Theresa Eiter Braun, 81, Perham, MN, formerly of Breckenridge, MN, died April 23, 2009 at Perham Memorial Nursing Home in Perham.



 Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 28, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge, MN, with Fr. Kenneth Popp officiating.



  Visitation will be Monday, April 27, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN.    There will also be visitation for one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.



  Interment will be at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in Kent, MN.  Pallbearers will be Theresa’s sons, Tom, Tim, Tony, Ted and Terry Eiter.



  Theresa was born January 1, 1928 in Kent, MN, the daughter of William and Johanna (Neppl) Underberg. She attended grade school at Kent and Brushvale, MN.  She went on to school in Techny, IL and Lincoln, NE, and finished her junior and senior years at St. Francis Academy in Hankinson, ND, graduating from there in 1945. Following graduation she worked at St. Francis Hospital.



  On November 21, 1946 she was married to Ellsworth Eiter at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wahpeton, ND.  The made their home in the Breckenridge/ Wahpeton area.  Ellsworth preceded her in death on August 11, 1986.  She continued living in Wahpeton until June 9, 1992 when she was married to Bernard Braun of Breckenridge, MN.  They lived in Breckenridge until October, 1997, when they moved to Perham, MN.  Bernard preceded her in death on November 16, 2005. 



  Theresa was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge. She enjoyed sewing, needlework, scrapbooking, card playing, collecting, huge holiday gatherings, gardening, canning and walking.



  Theresa is survived by her daughters: Suzanne James, Kingsville, TX; Bonnie (Keith) Schoon, West Fargo, ND; Patrice (Steve) Seiter, Ponca City, OK; Her sons: Tom (Anita) Eiter, Cannon Falls, MN; Tim (Eileen) Eiter, Mentor, MN; Tony (Mary) Eiter, West Fargo, ND; Ted (Janice) Eiter, El Cajon, CA; Terry (Barb) Eiter, Detroit Lakes, MN; Her 18 grandchildren; Her 12 great-grandchildren; Her sisters: Margaret Tousignant, Lake Placid, FL; Liz (Don) Michaletz, Eagan, MN; Her brother-in-law: Lester Krump, Breckenridge, MN; Many nieces and nephews.



  She was preceded in death by: Her parents: William and Johanna Underberg; Her first husband: Ellsworth Eiter; Her second husband: Bernard Braun; Her daughter: Margaret (Eiter) Anderson; Her sister: Marie Krump; Her brother: Thomas; and a sister, Mary and brother Joseph who died in infancy.
