Theresa Figlia, 95, of St. Joseph, passed away at The Willows, Sunday, December 04, 2011.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of SW Michigan or Animal Aide. Theresa was born January 19, 1916 in Chicago to Joseph & Rose (Spampinato) Piraino. She was a life-long resident of the Twin Cities area, growing up on the family farm in Riverside. On November 12, 1939, she married Salvatore Figlia in Benton Harbor. Theresa was employed at Helaine's at the Orchard's Mall, and volunteered at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor, and the Benton Township Elections Board. She enjoyed crocheting and participating in the activities at The Willows.

Theresa is survived by her son James (Claudia) Figlia of Eau Claire; her sister Rose (Hal) Bauschke of St. Joseph; two nephews-Michael & Dennis Marsh; and cousins Tony & Doris Piraino of Benton Harbor. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Salvatore on September 13, 1997.
