Theresa Moran, 85, of West Scranton, died Friday at the Riverside Rehabilitation Center, Taylor. Her husband, John J. Moran, died on December 12, 1994. Born in Plains on September 25, 1925, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Fitzhenry Halloran, Theresa graduated from West Scranton High School before earning her degree from Lackawanna Business College. After attending Fenwick School of Cosmetololgy, she began her own business in Scranton where she worked until retirement. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Church and its Society of the Faithful. She was also a former member of both the Convent Guild and the Womens Auxiliary of the VFW Post 7069, Clarks Summit. She is survived by her son, John Moran, with whom she resided; two sisters, Rita Fitzgerald and Kathleen Rees; two brothers, Edward and Thomas Halloran; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her son John would like to thank the staffs of both Riverside Rehabilitation Center and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the compassionate care they have given his mother. Also preceding in death were sons, Dr. Eugene, Timothy and Michael Moran; and a brother, Gerard Halloran. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 9:00AM in St. Patrick's Church, 1403 Jackson Street in West Scranton, to be conducted by Rev. Peter J. O'Rourke, Pastor. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Arangements are under the care of the Kearney FuneralHome, Inc., West Scranton.
