Theresa Vongvilath Barrett "Chanh Vongvilath", 35, of Severna Park and formerly of North Carolina, died January 29 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Chanh was born October 20, 1976 in Vientiane, Laos. She graduated from Bakersfield High School in California and attended the Guilford Technical Community College in North Carolina. She was employed as a Financial Advisor at PNC Bank. She loved animals and enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Chanh is survived her husband, Kevin Barrett, who she married October 8, 2009; two brothers, Somprathana Vongvilath and Joseph Vongvilath, both of Kissimmee, FL; two sisters, Ann Chay Inthalasy of Concord, NC and Amy Lane of Charlotte, NC; and her parents, John Somkith Vongvilath and Yong Vongvilath of North Carolina.
Family and friends may visit from 9 to 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 2 at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, Inc., 147 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis where a service will begin at 10 a.m. at the Taylor Chapel. Interment Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 5335 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Suite 300, Washington DC 20015.
