Thomas Alfred Rau, 88, a resident of Port Saint Lucie for 24 years, departed this life Wednesday, August 10, 2011.
Mr. Rau was born in East Rutherford, NJ and moved to Port Saint Lucie from East Brunswick, NJ. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army and a retired technician working for AT&T.
Mr. Rau is survived by his wife of 60 years, Clare Rau; daughter, Eileen M. Britten, of Hiawatha, Iowa; sons, Thomas J. Rau, of Lawrenceville, GA; and Richard K. Rau, of Port Saint Lucie; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a brother, Edwin Rau, of Port Saint Lucie.
No services are planned at this time.
Arrangements under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel in Port Saint Lucie.
