Thomas G. Cambariere, age 69, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, formerly of Ossining, New York died on Thursday, December 8, 2011 after a long illness. Tom was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Ruth Hewitt and Rocco Cambariere. He is survived by his brother Peter B.Cambariere and Peter's partner Stephen J. Oldak of Jupiter, Florida. He is also survived by his Aunt and Uncle Donald and Nancy Cook of White Plains, New York and numerous cousins and friends. Tom attended Ossining High School and then transferred to the Seminary to complete his education.

Tom served as Village Trustee from January 1985 thru December 1996 at which time Tom was elected Mayor of the Village of Ossining New York and took the Oath of Office on January 1, 1997 and served until his retirement in December 2001. Tom was the lone Democrat on the Village Board from January 1985 thru January 1989. Tom served his Community with pride with memberships in the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Rotary and the NAACP as well as many other organizations. Tom was instrumental in the Hudson River waterfront project. He was a life member of the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corp., Chairman of the Board of OVAC as well as being instrumental in the ALS process. He was the first OVAC member to take the medic course. Tom ran Rocky's Deli with his business partner Gregory Santone, in Millwood New York after the retirement of his Dad, Rocky. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Ann's in Ossining on January 21, 2012 11:00 a.m.

At the request of the family donations to Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corp, 9 Clinton Avenue, Ossining, New York 10562 will be accepted in lieu of flowers.
