Thomas J. Duff Sr., of Mt. Clemens, formerly of Manton, passed away on March 28, 2012. He was 90. Thomas was born on April 4, 1921 to Finley and Ethel (Runyon) Duff in Buckley. He married Clara Ferdig on December 15, 1945 in Mount Clemens. Thomas served with the Army/Air Corps in Europe during World War 2. He worked for Miller Brothers Creamery and later for Michigan Bell retiring in 1981. Thomas and Clara moved to Manton in 1983 where he was an active member of Rollins Church. Recently he was a member of the Macomb Baptist Church and was active in church his whole life. Thomas is survived by his wife of 66 years Clara; children Linda (Ron) Sabo, Thomas, Jr. (Karen) and Allen (Joanne); 8 grandchildren , 17 great grandchildren; sisters Helen Tanzey, Jean Pate, and Ruth Lee; brother Allen (Ike). Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Cecil Pike, Treva Grewe, Emma Steinabach, Naomi Cooper, Beth Boggs; brothers Roland, Marlin and Robert. Service will be on Friday March 30, 2012 at 1:00pm at the Hall-Holdship Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Lanning officiating. There will be visitation from 12:00pm until the time of service. Final arrangements were entrusted to Hall-Holdship Funeral Home.
