Born the youngest of eight children in Bear Creek, Cass County, Texas on May 4th, 1924. Tom passed on March 26th, 2013 peacefully, at home surrounded by his loved ones. Tom was a Navy veteran of WWII and a retired San Francisco Police Sergeant.Tom is survived by his wife, Jean Capra Duncan, as well as a large loving family--his five children from his first marriage-- Ginny (Gary) Dockter, Sue (Dave) Wold, Pat (Ed) McCally, Sandy(Bob) Spinale, Mike (Marisa) Duncan , two step daughters, Denise(Mark) Capra Young and Chris(Dennis) Capra Fitzsimons, as well as ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Tom married Jean Capra in 1982. For the thirty years of their marriage, they traveled the world--seven continents, seventy-eight countries and fifty states."It was a great life!". Public viewing on Monday, April 1st, 2-7pm and Funeral services, Tuesday, April 2nd, 10:30am at Halsted N. Gray-Carew & English, 1123 Sutter St., S.F. Burial following at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, CA.
