Mr. Thomas Hamilton Williamson, Jr.

RIDGEWAY - A graveside service for Thomas H. Williamson, Jr., 89, will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Thomas H. Williamson, Jr., of 140 N. Palmer Street, Ridgeway, formerly of Columbia, died January 6, 2012. Born in Aiken, he was the son of the late Thomas H. and Bunch Beard Williamson. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and served as a pilot for four years in the Army Corps during WWII. For 30 years, he was employed by the NCR Corporation in various capacities throughout the United States, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Eastminister Presbyterian Church, Columbia.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Claire Williams; two sons, Mark of Columbia and Alan and his wife, Mitzi, of Ridgeway; daughter, Virginia Anne and her husband, James, of Durham, NC; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons, Tom III and "Drew".
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
