Thomas Jackson Boston was born April 9, 1932 in Tulia, TX and passed away August 11, 2011 in Rowlett, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife Margie Lee Boston. Survivors include his sons, Neil Boston and Wife Terrie, Phil Boston and wife Bren, and Eric Boston; also with three grandchildren, Makayla Jolee Boston, Melissa Diffee and husband, Gary and Bryan Messersmith and wife, Kate and one great grandchild Bradyn Robert Messersmith. Thomas Boston was the sixth of nine siblings, Edwin Andrew (deceased), Ben Carroll (deceased), Henry Wilson, Pearl Elizabeth (deceased), Floyd Leach (deceased), Frank Howard, James Robert and Mary Lou.

Tom was raised on a farm outside of Tulia, TX. He left Tulia around 1950 and moved to Lubbock, TX, where he graduated from Texas Tech University with a BM in Engineering. Tom met his wife Margie Lee Rogers at Texas Tech and they married in June of 1954. Tom was a devoted family man whose goal after retirement was to take care of his wife. Unfortunately, Margie passed in February of 2006 before he retired. If we were to sum up his life, Tom was a humorist and practical joker. He loved nothing better than to hear jokes and scheme on whom he should play his next practical joke. Just days before Tom passed, he was telling everyone of an old joke of his. He was a kind, patient and loving man whom we will miss dearly.
