Thomas R. McGraw, 48, of Ft. Madison, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 8:15 PM at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL.
He was born on March 25, 1964 in Ft. Madison to Loy and Ramona Seabaugh McGraw. Tom was a heavy equipment operator for Midwest Operating Engineers Local #150 for about 22 years and also Local #537 for 2 ½ years. He was a 1982 graduate of Ft. Madison High School, a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Izaak Walton League. Tom served in the US Army from 1986-1989. He enjoyed his job and traveling, grilling, reading western book, playing cards, John Wayne, and Classic Rock Music. Tom was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, Jeff Gordon, St. Louis Cardinals & the Missouri Tigers.
Survivors include two daughters, Krystal (Jake) Ball of Donnellson and Jozie (Jake) Mader of Columbus, MT; a sister, Tami McGraw of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren, Trevin Ball, Adriana Ball and Anna Mader and a grandchild on the way. Maternal Grandparents, Buford & Imogene Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau, MO and all of his brothers in the Union. He was preceded in death by his parents and paternal grandparents.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral service will be held at 3 PM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be held on Monday at Sargent's Chapel Cemetery in Sedgewickville, Missouri.
