Thomas Mulhern January 27, 1927 - August 26, 2011 Thomas, also known as "T.J.", Mulhern of Waco passed away Friday, August 26, 2011, at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with the Msgr. William Brooks and Father Selvarah as celebrants. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Rosary and visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Thomas was born January 27, 1927, in The Bronx, New York, to Matthew and Minnie Mulhern. He worked for the City of New York, and following his move to Texas, he worked for Certainteed. He was a founder and member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1358. He also served in the U.S. Army and Air Force. T.J. was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and five brothers. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Vickers Mulhern of Waco; a son, Matthew Mulhern and wife, Kathy, of Victoria, TX; two daughters, Mary Borrelli of Edwards, NY, and Anne Schreiber of Hewitt; two grandchildren, Amanda Beyer and Stevie Ray Schreiber of Hewitt; three great-grandchildren, Dylan M. Dunn, Angel Marie Rodriguez and Sadie Palmie. Pallbearers are John Janek, Steve Fell, Bob Ryan, James Reiger, Joe Grubessich, and Stevie Ray Schreiber. The family wishes to thank the Texas Oncology Center of Waco and Texas Home Health Care and Texas Home Health Care Hospice, and a special thanks to Dr. Ross Shipp. Memorials may be made to Texas Oncology Cancer Center of Waco.
