COLUMBIA - Memorial service for Thomas Trapp Cook Sr., 75, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Bethel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Mr. Cook died Sunday, May 2, 2010. Born in Greer, he was a son of the late J. Miller and Azalee Hawkins Cook. He received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of S.C. and was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. A retired teacher for Richland School District One, he also retired from the U.S. Army Reserves with the rank of CWO3. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
An avid golf lover, he enjoyed going to the Master’s every year. He enjoyed all his friends at the Mouse Trap and spending time with his granddaughter, Corinne.
Surviving are his daughter, Wrenn Cook and her husband, Kevin Barber of Columbia; son, Tom Cook Jr. of Columbia; granddaughter, Corinne Cook Barber. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Warmoth Cook and a brother, Hawkins Cook of Greer.
