SIMS - Lt. Col. Timothy D. Sims (Ret) USAF, age 58, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Albuquerque. Tim is survived by his sons, Brandon Sims and his wife, Nelleka, Ryan Sims, and Logan Sims; and their mother, Sharron Sims; brother, Ron Sims; and sister, Holly Baker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Dorothy Sims. Tim was born November 5, 1953 in Wiesbaden, Germany. He served as a fighter pilot for the United States Air Force and the New Mexico Air National Guard, and was a member of the 150th Fighter Wing at Kirtland Air Force Base, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel. He also worked for Southwest Airlines as a pilot. Tim's favorite sport was off-road racing. Services will take place in Llano, Texas.
