Timothy Sloan
Pickens, SC

Mr. Timothy (Tit) Sloan was born in Pickens County on April 30, 1922 to Mr. Ernest Sloan and Mrs. Annie Gary Sloan. He departed this life on January 25, 2012 at VA Hospice, Charles George Medical Center in Asheville, NC.

Mr. Sloan was a US Army Veteran of WWII and member of Griffin Ebenezer Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a son Walter C. Bowen (Carrie) of Pickens; two brothers, Mr. Medford Sloan (Macie) of Pickens, and Gary Sloan (Joanne) of New York; and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Williams of Pickens and Mrs. Curtis Ferguson of Greenville, SC; a grandson, Mr. Barrett Bowen of Easley; a great grandson, Tevon Wiley of Toccoa, GA; and a host of relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will meet with friends and family from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the Mausoleum Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Griffin Ebenezer Baptist Church, 450 Garvin St., Pickens, SC 29671.

The family will be at 305 Secona Rd., Pickens, SC 29671.
