Tisha was born to the union of John Orange and Carolyn Montgomery Orange on November 13, 1975 in University City Missouri. Tisha attended McKnight, Ronald McNair, Brittany Woods and University City High School in the University City School System. She was especially proud of graduating from the Ronald McNair Sixth Grade Center with honors. She graduated from MacArthur High School in San Antonio, Texas and attended the University of Texas San Antonio, Prairie View University and earned an Associate of Arts degree from San Antonio Community College. Tisha accepted Christ at a very early age. She was baptized at Union Memorial Methodist Church and attended this church until she left St. Louis with her parents. She loved going to Sunday school with her grandmother Mary Orange. As an adult in San Antonio, she attended New Creation Church with her friends and later attended St. Philip's Episcopal Church with her parents. She loved singing in the choir at St. Philips. Tisha has worked in the private sector for many years, managing offices and working in various capacities for companies such as Coca Cola, Acme Brick, San Antonio Housing Authority, Law Offices, Marriott and others. She had exceptional computer skills. Her most notable "position" was driving an 18-wheeler across country for a brief period of time; it required a lot of skill and bravery. Tisha's wonderful son Tevin was a blessing from her union with Everett Eggleston. She later married Bruce Davis, Walter White and Kenneth Jenkins, respectively. She had a signature smile that endeared her to many people. She was a charismatic person that could easily make you smile. Her most notable personal traits were her compassion for others and her generosity. If she only had 2 dollars and someone really needed a dollar she most likely would give it to them. She always responded to the occasion, even if her money was short. She was highly creative, and could add personal touches to inexpensive gifts to make them seem more expensive, much to the delight of the recipient. She developed a unique art form in high school, and created many works of art through the years. She had aspired to open a T-shirt company as an outlet for her art. She was also a talented singer and writer. Tisha's health deteriorated over the years until she passed away in her sleep recently. She departed this life on gossamer angel wings on November 17, 2011, where she became absent from the body but present with the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memories, a precious son, Tevin John Orange; her parents, John and Carolyn Orange; her husband, Kenneth Jenkins; her siblings, Traci (Harlan) Hodges, Timothy (Natasha) Orange, her grandmother Alma Montgomery; her aunts Sandra (Melvin) Easley, Johanna Orange Smith, Anita Pate; her uncle, William Montgomery Sr.; her first cousins, Tina, Greg, Kendall, Chairmin, William, Tony, Rebecca, Kharmann, Ray, Stanli, Rochelle, and a host of other relatives and friends. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Tisha Jenkins- Orange. You are invited to add a Tribute in her memory.
