Todd Charles Karnow, age 47, a beloved son and brother, unexpectedly left us on Friday, February 20, 2009. He was born on July 7, 1961 in Long Beach, CA. In 1962, his family moved to the Monterey Peninsula where he lived until 1971 when his family moved to Salinas. He attended Salinas schools, graduating from Salinas High and Hartnell College.

His passions were fishing, woodworking, football and family. He loved the outdoors and creating furniture and toys for his family and friends. His brothers and his nieces and nephews were the light of his life and many of his happiest times were spent with them. His creative mind was always working on a new invention. His warm personality enabled him to make many friends of all ages, in his work as well as his personal life.

Survivors: Father and Mother, Chuck and Ruth Karnow; Sister, Karen Karnow, Brothers, Lawrence (Sharon) Karnow; Kyle (Staci) Karnow; Nephews, Nicholas and Lucas Karnow; and Nieces, Alexis and Jessica Karnow.

Celebration of Life: 11:00 am, Thursday, February 26 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1071 Pajaro St., Salinas.
