With his devoted mother by his side, Todd McGlothern lost his battle with cancer August 3, 2011. Todd was born on September 25, 1963 at Long Beach Memorial Hospital to Willie and Florence Carlene McGlothern. Todd's father Willie had lost his life on February 4, 2009 to cancer. His daughter Tikisha died on June 19, 1993 as a result of an automobile accident.

Todd attended Roosevelt Elementary, Marshall Jr. High, and Wilson High School. He worked for the City of long Beach. He loved his mother's cooking especially macaroni and cheese and her apple pie. He loved cars, cutting his children's hair, the beach, cooking and lobster fest.

Todd is survived by his mother Florence Carlene, brother Mark A. McGlothern, and his children Todd Jr., Cris, Willie E, Nisha, Robert and stepdaughter Chandra. He also leaves behind two half sisters, aunts, an uncle, cousins, and long time friends.

Todd is also survived by his loving girlfriend and companion Tina Alexis. Tina was a constant in Todd's life right to the end. As he got weaker, he remaimed concerned about his appearance and Tina was there to make sure he was well groomed the way he liked. Sometimes they just hung out at his place and watched television or listened to his police scanner.

"I am not afraid to take this ride" Todd told his mother one day. This statement provides comfort to all his family and friends knowing that he was prepared for what was to come. As it sounded like something he would say since he loved cars, especially his father's truck.
