Todd William Storti, 47, of Marquette, entered eternal life Sunday morning, June 26, 2011 following a long illness. He was born on August 14, 1963 in Ishpeming and was a 1982 graduate of Ishpeming High School. Todd proudly served his country with the U.S. Army, later returning to this area where he attended Northern Michigan University. He was employed by Northern Michigan University in their maintenance department for 22 years, retiring in 2007 due to health reasons. Survivors include his mother, Bronwyn Garrett (Matt) Kitto of Ishpeming and father, Peter (Susan) Storti of Gwinn; four siblings, Lisa Storti Mongiat of Marquette, Cassondra Kitto of Palmer, Joshua Kitto, Sr. and his fiancé, Michelle Roose of Ishpeming, and Paula (Chad) Sherman of Portage, MI; two nieces, Hannah Mongiat of Marquette and Lillee Martin of Ishpeming; also two nephews, Joshua Kitto, Jr. of Ishpeming and Gavan Sherman of Portage, MI; one special aunt, Bonnie Storti of Gwinn. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William George and Evelyn (Swanson) Garrett and paternal grandparents, Peter and Rose (Armatti) Storti. Friends may call at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. where a remembrance service will take place at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held in Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lauri Maki officiating. Friends may also call at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Marquette. Pallbearers will be Joshua Kitto, Sr., Joshua Kitto, Jr., Rick Storti, Garrett Leffler, Dwayne Kaukola, and James DeLongchamp. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
