Mrs. Tomasa (Pérez) Milán, a Melrose resident, passed away at the Golden Living Center – The Elmhurst on Wednesday morning, September 28, 2011, at the age of 85.
Tomasa was born on January 3, 1926 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, one of eight children of the late Eusebio and Eduvigis Pérez. She resided in Bridgeport, Connecticut before moving to Melrose to be closer to her two sons. Her family will lovingly remember her as being one of the kindest people to all who knew her.
She was the beloved wife of the late Luis A. Milán. Devoted mother of Luis Fernando Milán of Jamaica Plain and Edwin Ramon Milán and his wife Maureen of Melrose. Dear sister of Santiago Pérez of Dracut, Efraín Pérez of Puerto Rico and the late Carmen Luisa Álvarez, Arminda Ramírez, Ana Rivera, Mariana Arce, and Tinín Pérez. Cherished grandmother of Amanda Milán of Andover and Ariana Milán of New York.
Relatives and friends will gather to remember and celebrate Tomasa's life on Saturday, October 1 for Visiting Hours from 12:30-2:00 PM at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St, Melrose with her Funeral Service celebrated at 2:00 PM.
