Mr. Travis Lee "Smokey" Lasiter, Sr., age 85 of Hampton Georgia passed away November 17, 2011. He was born in Warren, Arkansas to the late Marion Lee and Bessie Reep Lasiter. He was preceded in death by two sons, Damon and London Lasiter and a sister, Lois Benson. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII, was retired from Western Electric and was a member of Hampton Masonic Lodge # 70. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Lasiter of Hampton; children, Ramona Lee of McDonough, Larry Lasiter of Griffin, Wesley Lasiter of Texas, Mike (Tammy) Lasiter of Jonesboro, Travis "Bo" Lasiter, Jr. of Hampton; four grandchildren; brother, James Lasiter of Warren, Arkansas; sisters, Virginia Ashcraft of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Shirley Lowry of Crosset, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 1:00 PM from the New Hebron Cemetery in Concord, Georgia with Masonic rites.
