Troy "Pat" Maxwell of Cowlington, Oklahoma was born February 19, 1925, in Tucker, Oklahoma to Mount Etna and Flora Belle (Yocum) Maxwell and died Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 84. He is survived by Three Nephews Jack Maxwell of Cowlington, Oklahoma Larry Maxwell of Cowlington, Oklahoma Harold Maxwell of Spiro, Oklahoma Two Nieces Sue Maxwell of Cowlington, Oklahoma Paulette Perry of Liberty, Missouri Three Sisters-in-law Irene Maxwell of Cowlington, Oklahoma Margaret Gamble of Tucker, Oklahoma Lila Hull and husband, Wendal of Tucker, Oklahoma Two Brothers-in-law Clay Collins and wife, Barbara of Durant, Oklahoma Joe Collins and wife, Judeen of Portersville, California He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Madge; a son, Dwight and two daughters, Terri and Pamela; two brothers, J.C. and Loyd Maxwell; two nephews, Ronnie and Jerry Maxwell and two nieces, Jean Moore and Pat Edwards. He served in the Army Air Corp in New Guinea, the Philippines and Japan during WWII. He played baseball as a pitcher for the Brush League at Tucker, the US Army Air Corp team in the Philippines and for the Spiro Miners. His pitching highlight was striking out Dom DiMaggio twice in the same day in the Philippines. Pat retired as an Oil Field Pumper.
