Valeria Lewis was born on October 12, 1959 at Homer G. Phillips in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the fourth of eight children. She was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Kenneth Bradley. Valeria was educated in the public schools and graduated from Central High School with high honors. Val went on to high ground, she also graduated with high honors from Lutheran Nursing School in South St. Louis, MO; she earned her B. S. Degree at Webster University. Val was baptized at an early age. On August 23, 1980 Valeria was joined in holy matrimony to Lionnell Lewis for 31 years and to that union two children were born, Lionnell Lewis Jr. and Dominick Lewis. Valeria was employed for Great West Insurance Company (formally known as Cigna Insurance Co.). She also worked for Cardinal Glennon Hospital, Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance Company, Express Scripts and Regional Hospital. God dispatched His angels to bring Valeria home on December 8, 2011 to continue to be with him and rest in peace. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Lionnell Lewis, two sons, Lionnell Lewis Jr., and Dominick Lewis; her mother, Mattie (George) Bradley, four sisters, Betty (William) Williford of TX; Alma Bradley, Sandra Bradley, and LaWanda Brown all of St. Louis MO; two brothers, Vernell Sims, Sr. (Kim), and Lester Bradley of St. Louis, MO; six brothers-in-law; and five sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
