Valerie Avis (Kellogg) Falbo: Born July 25, 1946 in Calexico, California and died of cancer on December 14, 2011 at her home in Clarkdale, Arizona. She was predeceased by her parents, Seth Ranger and Billy Rose Kellogg and her son Kevin Magelssen. Val is survived by her husband Philip A. Falbo; sons David P. Magelssen and F. Thomas Wright; brother Robert Kellogg (wife Dawn, son Sean) of El Centro, California; and Bettie (Kellogg) Lundy (Aunt, husband Dale) of Guthrie, Oklahoma. Val relocated from California to the Verde Valley over 35 years ago. Val worked in many capacities in the Verde Valley medical community. For the last 24 years of her career Val worked as the office manager for Cottonwood Internal Medicine. Val was a former member of Soroptomists and helped found the local Physician's Cooperative for Medical Supply Purchasing. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Old Town Mission, 116 E. Pinal St., Cottonwood, AZ 86326 or Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood, AZ 86326. "Do not go gentle into that good night; Rage, rage, against the dying of the light". A tribute to her life will be held on Wednesday, December 21 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 1 PM. A light reception will follow in the funeral home reception room.
