Velonie Danford Karr came into our lives on December 10, 1980. She was welcomed with joy by her mother, Denise and many family members and close friends. She left our lives on Saturday, June 23, 2012. Velonie loved beaches and the peace and power of the ocean. She was gifted at making her surroundings beautiful and relaxing. Her girls, Shae and Ashley, take comfort in knowing how important they were to her and how deeply she loved them. Her husband, Cory, brought her love and peace, and Velonie cherished him. She knew her God, Jehovah, as one of hope, comfort and bright promises. We, too, take comfort in knowing that "he will have a yearning for the work of his own hands" and restore her to us in his promised peaceful new world. Velonie will be missed until that time of restoration to life by her husband and girls, her mother, Denise, and her dad, Gary. She was loved and will be mourned by her in-laws, Steve and Cheryl and her sister, Jayme. As well, her friends and extended family feel her loss and are eager to see her awaken with health, joy and peace. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 28th at 5:00 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union in Kennewick. After the services, family and friends will gather to show their respect and comfort one another from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
