Vera E. Hart-Baldwin was born April 2, 1955 to Evangelist Annie P. Barber-Hart and Mr. Gilbert L. Hart, Sr. in Newark, New Jersey. After a brief illness, Vera was called home on May 27, 2011 in Clara Mass Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. Vera attended school in the Newark, New Jersey School System. Vera work at UMDNJ as a Secretary; Mathis Barber Shop as a Hairstylist for many years before she started working at the East Orange Police Dept. until her death. Vera accepted Christ at an early age she was a member at New Light Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey under the leadership of the late Rev. J.C. Brown for many years before joining Gospel Deliverance Born Again Church under the leadership of Rev. Willie Mathis, Vera was a faithful member. Vera met Alto Baldwin in 1986 through Vera*s cousin Eddie Barber, later on in years Alto proposed to Vera and she said, "YES" on July 27, 2002 before GOD, family and friends they became ONE, Al always said, "that Vera was his Angel and his only Queen". Vera was preceded in death by her loving parents, Evangelist Annie P. Barber-Hart and Mr. Gilbert L. Hart, Sr. and one son, Mr. Lorenzo McGhee-Baldwin. She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her beloved husband, Mr. Alto Baldwin; two sons, Harold E. Bradley, Jr. and Raymond L. Bradley; one daughter, Cozy McGhee-Baldwin; ten grandchildren, Eric, Lanasiah, Rayshawn, Yonica, Khalil, Tremelle (Peedee), Jacqueline, Tahir, Tymir and Naziyeh; three sisters, Pearl C. Woodard of Bainbridge, Ga., Ruby L. Hart-Aulderman of Quincy, Florida and Degra R. Aulderman of Allentown, Pa; two brothers, Raymond L. Barber of Quincy, Florida; and Gilbert L. Hart, Jr. of Newark, New Jersey; three sisters-in-law, Ida M. Barber, Jameta Baldwin and Melovee Baldwin; one brother-in-law, Maurice Baldwin; mother-in-law, Juanita Baldwin; one aunt, Jetta Clark of Newark, New Jersey; one uncle, Keith Robinson of Newark, New Jersey; one god-child, Asia Mathis; and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-worker. Vera spoke highly of Mrs. Roberta Singertary as her sister and sister in Christ. ~Vera will be highly missed by Family and Friends~ This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Vera E.
