Vera Marie Eubanks, 80, a resident of Russellville, died Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Russellville.

She was born March 3, 1928, at Newellton, Louisiana to Floyd C. and Elvira Karnes Carey. She was a member of the Harmony Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling and crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Argus Elmo Eubanks who died in September 1998 after 56 years of marriage; a daughter, Patsy Gale Jones; her step-mother, Virginia Carey; and three sisters.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Donna Eubanks and Dick and Cathy Eubanks, all of Russellville; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Gary Tuller of Russellville; five brothers, Bob, Jim, Stanley, Donald, and Dale Carey; five sisters, JoAnn Crawford, Sharon Carey, Joyce Costa, Delores Carey, and Bonnie Sue Harris; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at the North New Hope Assembly of God at Dover with William and Scott Roderick officiating. Burial will be in the North New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers will be Allen, Robert, and Randy Eubanks, Jay Carry, Deryle Mackie, and Dean McCain. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Eubanks.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
