Vera (Sardo) Volpe, 86, of Suffield, beloved wife of the late Alfonse Volpe passed away peacefully Monday December 4, 2006 at Kimberly Hall Nursing Home in Windsor. Born in Italy she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Michaela Sardo and has lived in Suffield for a short time previously residing in North Attleboro MA for most of her life. She was a retired Dress Designer and Seamstress for many years. After her retirement, Vera was a faithful volunteer at Sturdy Hospital in Attleboro MA for several years. She leaves her daughter, Peggy Yush and her husband, David, of Enfield; a son, Richard Volpe, of West Palm Beach FL; and two grandchildren, Derek Yush and his wife, Kristal, of Groton, and Jaime Volpe of MA. She was predeceased by a son Fr. Alphonse Volpe. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Kimberly Hall North especially Kate Bartelmo for the care and comfort shown to Vera. A graveside service will be held Thursday December 7 at 11:30 am at St. Patrick’s Cemetery Rte.5 Enfield. There are no calling hours.
