Vickie May Stillman
On the morning of Friday, July 29th, 2011, a beautiful wife and mother passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side. Vickie May Stillman was born October 27th, 1959 in Overton, Nevada to Wilma Catherine (Cathy) Forrest.
She was raised in Sonoma, California, graduated from Sonoma Valley High School, and later received her Associates Degree in Accounting.
On July 2nd, 1994 Vickie married her sweetheart, Steven L. Stillman in Lake Tahoe, California and they recently celebrated their 17th anniversary. She worked for the United States Postal Service but her favorite job was driving the special needs bus for those special spirits in Payson. She was heartbroken when her health forced her to retire.
As a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Vickie has a testimony of the gospel. She was a primary teacher, visiting teacher and cub scout leader, but her favorite calling was in extraction. The temple was very important to her and was able to go one last time on Tuesday with her daughter, Breanne and dearest friend, Jeannie. She spent many hours working on family history so her children would know who they were and where they came from.
Vickie had a voracious appetite for reading. She was a seamstress and was always creating wonderful Halloween costumes for her children. She was an amazing Mom who wanted her children to experience everything this life had to offer, from drama to karate and everything in between. Her children remember her for being outgoing, loving and her wonderful example of helping everyone. She was uncomfortable being served but was always thinking of others. She was an amazing lady that faced her challenges with courage and determination.
She was so reluctant to leave her husband, Steven L. Stillman and four children, William Reed Carlton (Carl) Robison, Michelle Lynn Robison, Steven Leonard Stillman Jr. and Breanne Elizabeth Stillman all of Payson and a stepson, Larnce Norman Clifton. She is also survived by two beautiful granddaughters, Lindsey Nicole Smith and Emily Ruth Fafita; her mother, Cathy Humphrey, 3 brothers, Larry, Garry and Kevin and 3 sisters, Mary, Paula and Karen and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank all those at the Huntsman Cancer Center who worked so hard to help her and to Alpine Hospice Care for taking such good care of her and treating her with kindness and respect.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2nd at 11am in the Mt. View 2nd Ward Chapel, 75 South 600 East, Payson, Utah. Family and friends may visit that morning, prior to the services, from 9:45-10:45 am. A graveside will be held at 1:30pm at the Utah State Veterans Cemetery, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
