Vickie E. Vigue, 67, died January 30, 2012 at Martin Memorial Hospital South in Stuart.
Born in Hartford, CT, she moved to Martin County in 1979, coming from East Hartford and currently resided in Stuart.
She was cafeteria manager for Martin County School District and had worked at Southfork High School and Martin County High School.
She was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, William "Bill" Vigue of Stuart; daughters, Catherine Biegner (Michael Marshal) of Port St. Lucie and Nicole Newton (Eric Newton) of Stuart; son, Derek Johnson (Maria Johnson) of Stuart; brothers, Howard Reed (Betty Reed) of Port St. Lucie and Theodore Reed, Jr. of Minnesota; sisters, Barbara Mariano (Sal Mariano) of Middletown, CT; Theresa Hoffman (Dennis Hoffman) of Ormond Beach, FL; Grace Harrison (Edward Harrison) of Fort Pierce; Joyce Wicks (Jim Wicks) of Coventry, CT; Judy Schmidt of Southwick, MA; step-father, Robert "Bob" Oppelt of East Hartford, CT; and six grandchildren, Marissa Baker, Eric Newton, Jr.; Kaleb Newton; Jacob Newton; Shelby Antoon; and Aidan Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Oppelt; brother, John Reed; and granddaughter, Alexis Hart.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be 2 PM to 4 PM, February 4, 2012 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes-Young and Prill Chapel in Stuart. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 4 PM.
