Victoria “Tori” Lynn Kelly (nee Shortt), 55, of Lorain passed away Thursday February 4, 2010 at The Renaissance of Olmsted Township after a recently discovered and diagnosed illness. Tori was born November 16, 1954 in Akron, Ohio.
Tori worked at Suntastic Tanning Salon in Avon Lake, for 9 years. She spent a great deal of her time with her clients and enjoyed their company. Through the years at the salon, Tori became very fond of many people that she had contact with. Besides the salon, Tori was very involved with her grandchildren, which called her "Memaw". They thought the world of her, as she did them. She had a very small family but was very family oriented, and the anchor to all of them, she had a way of holding everyone together.
Tori was a kind and thoughtful person, whom was very humorous and full of life. She could find the positive out of something negative. She was a very strong woman and touched many lives with her thoughts and helpfulness. Tori will be dearly missed by many, but her thoughts and memories will be with us and her name will live on forever. She now resides with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ.
Tori is survived by her husband of fourteen years Jim Kelly; children Robert Whitford (Christina) of Sullivan and Donnie Whitford (Rhonda) of Homerville; grandchildren Robbie IV, Katelynn, Kylee, Virginia Lynn and Heather; sister Ivy Post (Bob) of Monroefalls; nephews Bobby and J.J. and niece Kelly. She is preceded in death by her parents Claude E. and Evelyn G. (nee Wingrove) Shortt.
A memorial service will be at the Grace Brethren Church 8992 Firestone Rd. Homerville, Ohio 44235 on February 20th @ 11:00 a.m. Inurnment is private at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron, Ohio.
