Vincent Mark Perrero, 22, of Springfield, died at 5:11 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Vincent was born April 27, 1991 in Urbana, the son of Daren M. and Karen Marie Alvord Perrero. Vincent attended Blessed Sacrament Parish school and graduated from St. Agnes Parish school. He was a 2010 graduate of Southeast High School, where he was awarded the Citizenship Award. Vincent also attended Lincoln Land Community College where he was taking business administration classes. He had been an ambassador for MDA, attended MDA summer camp in Bloomington, and loved sports. Vincent was a huge baseball fan, but also loved the Bears, Bulls and Illini. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John W. Alvord. He is survived by his parents, Karen and Daren Perrero of Springfield; two sisters, Valerie and Abigail Perrero, both of Springfield; grandparents, Donald and Barbara Perrero of Mahomet, and Genevieve Alvord of McHenry; aunts and uncles, Dianne (husband, Mike) Chiappetti of Lake Villa, Mark (wife, Jean) Alvord of Freeport, Doug (wife, Donna) Perrero of New Palastine, Indiana, and Bryan (wife, Laurie) Perrero of Mahomet; and six cousins. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut St., Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to: Muscular Dystrophy Association, 115 N. Neil St., Suite 100, Champaign, IL 61820 (please note summer camp in the memo line).
