Vincent P. Vedera, 81, of Palm Bay, Florida, died November 11, 2011 at the William Childs Hospice House, Palm Bay.
Born in New York, New York, he had been a resident of Palm Bay for 8 years coming from Palm City, Florida where he lived for 13 years.
Before retiring he was an advertising executive. He was the art director for Levitz Furniture and had also worked for J.C. Penney in New York. He was a watercolor artist.
During Korean War he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Strawbridge Art Club and Joy Lutheran Church, Palm Bay, where he was the president of the Joy Men's Group.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Alice L. Vedera of Palm Bay; daughters, Brenda Bryan of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Donna Bailey of Okeechobee, Florida and Cathi Rodriguez of Pompano Beach, Florida; sons, David Vedera of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Harold Vedera of West Palm Beach, Florida, Brian Bailey of Collierville, Tennessee and Bruce Bailey of Richmond, Virginia; a sister Rose Spinelli and a brother Joseph Vedera, both of Bristol, Connecticut; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
SERVICES: There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM on November 16, 2011 at Joy Lutheran Church, Palm Bay with military honors provided by the U.S. Army. Inurnment will be in Forest Hills Funeral Homes Memorial Park, Palm City.
