HALIFAX- Viola Mae "Maisey" "Dolly" Hoover, age 85, of 1236 Matamoras Road passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at her daughter's home in McAlisterville. She was born in Freehold, NJ, the daughter of the late Willard and Emma Helen Seese Prouse. After attending Central College in South Carolina and Houghton College in Houghton, NY she worked at Bell Telephone, a Christian Publication company, Willits shoe factory and Harrisburg Blueprint. She was a former member of the Crusaders christian group and a current member of Watts Twp. Wesleyan Church. She loved gardening, spending time with those she loved and witnessing for the Lord. Survivors include her husband Charles L. Hoover, two daughters Sharon Stetler of Halifax and Andra Beachler of McAlisterville, two sisters Helen "Tootsie" Wooters of Salisbury, MD and Wanda Benner of Millerstown, a brother Wilbur Prouse of Halifax, a foster sister Alice Malidore of Portland OR., her grandchildren Ashley, Kendra, Ryan, Coty, Cory and Kathryn, a great granddaughter Alet. She was preceded in death by a son Charles, Jr. and several siblings. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 20 from 7-9 pm at Watts Twp. Wesleyan Church 55 Circle Road Duncannon, PA 17069 and again on Tuesday June 21 from 10-11 am. Services will begin at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Halifax. Donations can be made to Sun Home Health Hospice 61 Duke St. Northumberland, PA 17857.
