Violet was in the hospital, in the very same room as my cousin. It was a very scary time for me and I was not sure how I was going to handle the situation. Violet was the most delightful woman! She was so concerned about me, about my cousin, and wanted to help, even though she herself was not well. She sat with me for hours, even though I am sure she was exhausted, and she showed me pictures, and told me the most wonderful stories. She talked of her family and how much love she had for each of them. She talked of her time as a young mother, and how much she loved her grandchildren. She was so loving and caring, and had the most warm smile. Even after my cousin was released and Violet was still in the hospital I stopped by to say hello and tell her how much it meant to me to have her there. That she was truly an angel of God.

I have never forgotten Violet. She will always be a part of me and in my heart. I am sorry that I did not keep in touch with her after that time in the hospital. I am sorry that I did not know of her passing. Please accept my condolensces. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I love you all so very much and I thank you for letting me be such a wonderful part of your family. I loved it every time I came up to see Aunt Violet and want to thank Ella and Al so very much for letting me stay there whenever I came up. They made me feel like we had never gone our seperate ways for so long and so much at home. The Cousin and friend was there from the very first visit and every one after that. Aunt Violet was really like a mother to all of the Rose Children that were left here when our immediate family members passed away. I feel so blessed and greatful for the time I got to spend with her. My best memory of this spring and summer was that no matter how bad she felt, she would always take my hand and not just said the words but looked right into my eyes and said "I love you so very much". She always said what she meant and I felt so close to her when we made that wonderful connection. I know her reunion was great. Thank you all for letting me share this time with you. I love you all so very much. God bless you all. So much more to say and so many more memories. I hope we make the time to say more to each other. I never want to lose my cousins again and now its up to us to keep in touch. I love you so much Aunt Violet.
