Middleburgh- Virginia H. Bouck, 78, of Valley Court Sunnyside Road, died Friday, September 16, 2011 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Born January 5, 1933 in Schoharie, she was the daughter of Victor and Dorothy (Wood) Foland.
Virginia was a lifelong area resident and had retired from the former Eden Park Nursing Home in Cobleskill where she was employed in the housekeeping department.
She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in West Middleburgh and participated in home bible study. Virginia enjoyed crotcheting and reading.
She was predeceased by her husband, Irving J. Bouck, Jr., two sons: George G. Hoop, III and Mitchell A. Hoop; two brothers: Thomas and Kenneth Foland and a great-grandson, Edward Brabender.
Survivors include her children: Linda (Lee) Gladd of Albany, Frederick (Rosemary) Hoop, Patrick (Barbara) Hoop all of West Fulton, Vivian (Alan) Padgett , Robert (Kim) Hoop all of Cobleskill, Virginia B. Bouck (Dennis) and Irving (Lisa) Bouck all of Middleburgh; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Hoop of Schoharie; a sister: Carolyn Snyder; four brothers: Clarence, Donald, Keith, and William Foland; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 12 PM (noon), Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Church St., W. Middleburgh. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh and Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
